Sick Notes

You do not require a doctor’s sickness certificate for any illness lasting seven days or less. Your employer may however require you to complete a self-certification form (SC2) which is available from your employer or on Ask your employer for Statutory Sick Pay – GOV.UK

You can request sick lines or Med3 fit notes (sick line) from the GP after you have self certified yourself off for one week.  We cannot pre-date a sick line but we can backdate them if necessary.  We can email this to you when it has been completed by the GP or it can be collected at reception.  The GP will do the Med3 fit notes at the end of each day so you might not receive your fit note until the next morning.
